About Liz: artist, writer, actor and creative educator
I’m Liz, an artist, writer, actor and creative educator with more than 60 years of creative experience. Guided by my philosophy, “Every Picture Tells a Story,” I find inspiration in real people, places, everyday moments and the experiences that stay with us.
Through line drawings, people and animal studies, and atmospheric landscapes, I create original artwork that captures character, emotion and a sense of story.

Art has the ability to capture a feeling, memory, place or moment in a way that words sometimes cannot. My inspiration comes from the world around me and from a lifetime of experiences. The landscapes and places I know, the people I meet, animals, changing surroundings and small scenes from everyday life can all become the starting point for a new piece.
My experiences across art, theatre, writing and education have also shaped the way I see the world and create. I’m interested in the story behind what we see – the character of a person, the atmosphere of a landscape and the details of ordinary moments that might otherwise be missed. For me, every piece begins with something that has caught my attention and has a story worth telling.
