Meet Liz Lees
I’m Liz, an artist, writer, actor and creative educator with more than 60 years of creative experience.

“Every Picture Tells a Story,” I find inspiration in real people, places, everyday moments.
Through line drawings, people and animal studies, and atmospheric landscapes, I create original artwork that captures character, emotion and movement.

I deliver workshops in painting, set design, writing, acting techniques and presentation skills
​​
All based on my experience as a professional in
Art, Culture and Heritage.
​
Highlights include; performances in
Coronation Street, The Royal Exchange Manchester and delivering training for Modern Apprenticeships for
the V&A to galleries across London.
A lifetime shaped by creativity
My creative career spans more than 60 years across art, theatre, acting, directing, writing and education. I hold a Postgraduate Diploma from the Guildford School of Acting and am a qualified teacher, assessor and internal verifier.
I also founded Green Light Theatre, giving me the opportunity to encourage creativity in others. My work has been recognised with a Chamber of Commerce Award, and I have exhibited my artwork across the UK.
Each part of my career has influenced the way I create.
Acting taught me to observe people and character, writing developed my love of storytelling, and teaching showed me the value of helping others find confidence in their own ideas. Today, I continue to share that experience through my workshops.
Sharing creativity with others
Creativity has also given me the opportunity to connect with and encourage other people.
My workshops are designed to help people explore their ideas,
develop their individual voice and build confidence in expressing themselves.
